Composition

ENGL 1010-035

For this assignment, I was to choose a world problem that's very arguable, do research on the issue, and put it all together in the form an argument paper. The topic I chose for this paper was on "Animal Conservation" because I love animals a lot. They present a piece of art and lots of beauty to our everyday lives.

 REFLECTION

The world is one huge place that is home to all sorts of life from humans, plants, and even animals. Wildlife is such an amazing part that makes every country so beautiful and completes its scenery. If there wasn't any animals at all then all the continents wouldn't be anything but just overrunning with plants and be dominated by humans. There's just one problem that concerns all sorts of creatures and that is they're becoming ENDANGERED! If something isn't done soon many species could eventually vanish from the face of the Earth forever. Never to be seen or heard of again. That wouldn't be absolutely cool at all.

This paper was very interesting to write for I definitely knew how it was going to be structured. I chose to talk about three different animal groups and one animal in particular from that group that's currently endangered. The groups were reptiles which the Komodo Dragon was chosen, next came birds and I chose the Harpy Eagle (Bird of Prey), and finally was mammals that talked about was the Cheetah (my favorite animal). Doing the research on each of these creatures was a little tricky but using lots of educational and governmental websites (learned is the most reliable in research) I found everything I needed to provide intel on each of them and why they are endangered. I learned a great deal about all three of these animals such as cheetah babies are born with lots of defects, Komodo Dragons are poisonous, and that Harpy Eangles have the longest talons of any bird.

Throughout this paper, I wasn't sure if certain things were appropriate such as providing a little background info on each animal and then lead into the reasons why each is in danger. I ended up turning to my teacher who said, "Sounds like a great plan to me." So I went with it and loved the results that turned out but there was another concern troubling me. Was it good in which my professor read it and said that I was off to a great start. But then again I've always been an excellent writer all the way back to my sophomore year of high school; where my teacher taught me how form a tremendous paper and I owe my writing skills all to her.

Animals such fascinating sources of life that each and everyone just leaves a fascinating feeling inside me. Whenever I'm watching Nature or Animal Planet, each individual creature discussed gives meaning to myself in hopes of being able to actually see lots throughout my lifetime. The only problem is that I won't get that much of a chance if many different species continue to decrease in population for reasons such as over hunting, poaching, home destruction, etc. All wildlife on Earth is just the same as all humans with equal rights and freedoms. They live, breath, rome (soar), and even drink from what's available to them to survive and make our home so majestic with their beauty and people should open up their eyes to see just what wildlife means and represents to the world. LONG LIVE ANIMALS AND MAY THEY BE PROTECTED FOR ALL TIME!
