COMM 1020 - Principals of Public Speaking
Speaking out to a humungous crowd of people isn't exactly the easiest thing to do in everyone's natural life, but, it has to be done in order to get a message out or to inform about something like a concern, a place, a product, and more. I took this course in either my first semester or Spring semester in 2010 at Salt Lake Community College and at that time there was no such thing as the eportfolio. But, I did manage to save all the assignments from the class. One of the speeches I gave in the class though really stood out in my eyes and absolutely enjoyed it. It was an informative speech which was about the most magical place in the United States, "Disneyland." Along with the speech, it was required to have a powerpoint presentation to enforce the power of the speech.

REFLECTION
Doing this speech was a really enjoying one to put together. I was given the option on what to report on which was for an informative speech. The choice I made for this project was on my all time favorite vacation spot that I've been five times in my entire life. That place my friends is "Disneyland." In putting this speech together, I learned and found out so much information about the parks creator, Walt Disney, in knowing what his life was like, how he came up with the idea for Disneyland, and when it opened. Talking about each of the parks and their attractions, rides and shows, was a very easy part to talk about and tell what to expect. Going on vacation is tons fun for everyone of all ages in exploring what each place has to offer such as China with the Great Wall and temples, Australia for the Great Barrier Reef, and the United States for many fantastic fun attractions. But the one place that every family, in the U.S., should get a chance to see in their lifetime is the magical kingdom of Disneyland for so much amusement for the entire family.
